Why Dental Labs & Distributors Choose KEKR Zirconia Blocks

KEKR is a dental zirconia block manufacturer and supplier serving dental labs, distributors and OEM partners worldwide.

🏭

Premium Raw Materials

Our flagship Neon 5D uses 100% Tosoh Japan powder — the industry gold standard for uniform particle distribution and consistent sintering results.

📐

Open System Compatible

All zirconia discs are available in 95mm, 98mm, and AG formats, compatible with Dentsply Sirona inLab, Roland DWX, Amann Girrbach Ceramill, vhf, and other mainstream systems.

🔬

Rigorous Batch QC

Every batch undergoes density, particle size, and surface quality inspection. Consistent pre-sinter density prevents internal stress cracks during sintering.

⚡

Fast Turnaround

Standard blocks ship in 1–3 days. OEM and custom orders fulfilled in 7–15 days. Production capacity up to 2,000 pieces per week.

🎨

Full Shade Range

16 VITA classical shades plus 4 Bleach shades in gradient and single-shade formats. Pre-shaded, multi-shade, and white blanks available for flexible staining workflows.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from dental lab technicians and procurement managers about KEKR zirconia blocks.

How much do dental zirconia blocks cost?
Pricing depends on zirconia series, disc size, thickness, shade, order quantity and OEM requirements. Standard 95 mm and 98 mm zirconia discs are available for wholesale orders, while custom packaging, private labeling and non-standard sizes are quoted separately. Contact KEKR for the current price list and volume pricing.
What is the difference between zirconia blocks, zirconia discs, zirconia blanks, and zirconia pucks?
These terms all refer to the same type of material — a pre-sintered ceramic unit designed for CAD/CAM dental milling. "Zirconia block" is the general industry term. "Zirconia disc" specifically describes the round disc format (95mm, 98mm, AG) used in most milling machines. "Zirconia blank" is common in the US and European markets for the unsintered or pre-sintered unit before milling. "Zirconia puck" is informal slang used by dental technicians. KEKR offers all formats.
What is gradient (multilayer) zirconia, and why should my lab use it?
Gradient zirconia — also called multilayer zirconia disc — incorporates varying Yttria content within a single block. The cervical zone maintains 3Y-TZP level strength (800–1,300 MPa) for structural integrity, while the incisal edge transitions to 5Y-TZP translucency (up to 57%) for lifelike aesthetics. This means a single disc type can serve both anterior and posterior restorations, simplifying your lab's inventory and CAD/CAM workflow.KEKR offers multilayer zirconia options including Aurora 4D, Aurora 4DX and Neon 5D, with different strength and translucency gradients for a wide range of indications.
Which CAD/CAM systems are compatible with KEKR zirconia discs?
KEKR zirconia blanks are open-system compatible with all major dental milling machines, including Dentsply Sirona inLab, Roland DWX, Amann Girrbach Ceramill, vhf, Zirkonzahn, Imes-icore, Wieland, and Yenadent. All discs are available in 95mm, 98mm, and AG formats. If you use a system not listed, please contact us — we support custom sizes for OEM partners.
What sintering temperature and curve should I use for KEKR zirconia blocks?
Each zirconia generation (3Y, 4Y, 5Y) requires its own specific sintering protocol. Using the wrong temperature curve is the most common cause of cracking, reduced translucency, and compromised strength. KEKR provides detailed, product-specific sintering curves with every order. Common failure causes include heating too quickly (causing surface-to-core stress), insufficient hold time (incomplete densification), and furnace contamination (discoloration). Our technical team is available to troubleshoot any sintering issue.
Are KEKR zirconia blanks suitable for anterior restorations?
Yes. The Neon 5D and Aurora 4D series are specifically engineered for anterior esthetics with up to 57% translucency and natural multilayer color gradients — comparable to natural tooth structure. The SHT series (47% translucency) is also suitable for both anterior and posterior crowns. For anterior-only cases requiring maximum translucency, the 5Y-TZP incisal region of gradient discs provides an ideal match.
What is the minimum order and how quickly can I receive KEKR zirconia blocks?
Standard zirconia blocks in regular sizes and shades typically ship within 1–3 business days. For OEM or custom orders (private labeling, non-standard sizes, custom shades), lead time is 7–15 days depending on volume and complexity. KEKR maintains a production capacity of up to 2,000 pieces per week, ensuring reliable supply for high-volume labs and distributors.
What coloring technique gives the best results with KEKR zirconia?
For best results, KEKR recommends a two-step approach: submerging (dipping) for the core base shade to achieve uniform color and natural value; followed by surface staining with Auraera Stain & Glaze Paste for final shade layering and surface characterization. Research shows the submerging technique minimizes value increase, preventing the restoration from appearing artificially bright. Surface glazes then allow technicians to achieve lifelike natural aesthetics.
Do you offer OEM or private-label zirconia blocks for distributors?
Yes. KEKR provides full OEM and ODM services for zirconia blocks, including custom branding, private labels, custom packaging, and non-standard disc sizes. We work with distributors and dental supply companies across 40+ countries. Contact us to discuss minimum quantities, customization options, and pricing for OEM partnerships.
